2nd Generation Orient Bambino Version 3 Pieces Have Been Released!

By: Kaz Mirza

If you’re constantly waiting for new Orient Bambino news like me, then it’s time to pay attention. Orient USA has released the 2nd generation of Bambino Version 3 pieces and they’re available now on OrientWatchUSA.com!

So the 3rd Version of the Orient Bambino stands apart from the other iterations of the iconic (and frankly awesome) line due to its modern contemporary and minimal look. What you’ll see most prevalent on this piece is its use of clean, vertical lines as seen in the bar indices and bold rectangular hands. Balancing the overall design aesthetic of the Orient Bambino Version 3 is a refreshing sunburst finish on the dial.

Now the Orient Bambino Version 3 also features design traits that are quite notable across all Bambino iterations – namely, a domed crystal and a domed dial. It also features the very cool Orient F6724, an in-house movement equipped with manual winding, hacking, and an automatic rotor.

Currently, the Orient Bambino Version 3 is available in three colors: Graphite Grey (FAC0000CA0), Royal Blue (FAC0000DD0), and Stark White (FAC0000EW0). A fourth color, Jet Black (FAC0000DB0), will be released in late June 2017, so keep an eye out!

Here are some other specs for your viewing enjoyment and be sure to check out the gallery below!

  • Case Diameter: 40.5mm without crown
  • Case Thickness: 11.8mm
  • Water Resistance: 200m
  • Mineral Crystal
  • Black or brown leather strap
  • 21,600 VPH
  • 22 Jewels
  • 40+ Hour Power Reserve
  • Date Display

All dial colors of the Orient Bambino Version 3 are available at $300 MSRP.

I’m partial to that Graphite Grey, but what does the #watchfam think? Sound off in the comments below and totally share this announcement if you think anyone would be interested in it!

  1. Grey or the blue. No the blue no grey. Duh! 40.5 mm and 21mm lugs. 21 is a weird number but it looks like it works. BTW $179 at longislandwatch.com. So for the MSRP of $300 I could get both the blue and grey and feel like its a but one get one sale.

    • Good stuff with Long Island Watch! Love the prices he’s got up there.

Yea you know it’s weird my Orient Star GMT is also 21mm lug width. I’ve noticed that on more models than most they’ll do that – weird. Luckily a 22mm fits the 21mm just fine IMO

  2. I like the less ‘stick-y’ hands but I’m a sucker for the version 1’s dauphine handset! Still the best value dress watch though, these are so well built for the money.

  3. Been wanting to get the V2 in either Cream or white dial. Sucks that there is no where on the west coast to see in person.

    • Yea, dude – I’m honestly not sure where on the West Coast one could take a gander at these in person. I know that Orient USA is headquartered in California and all USA orders ship from there. Maybe they have some sort of store front or you could book an appointment to stop by? Otherwise I know that Long Island Watch on the East Coast has a store front and they’re down with people stopping by.

Really, this is just another example of how Orient needs to improve its USA presence in addition to their digital outreach. They went through some managerial changes a few months back so hopefully we can start to see some outreach/presence changes trickle down.
