Swatch has released the final Moonshine Gold MoonSwatch of the year, introducing the Mission to Earthphase Moonshine Gold “Cold Moon”, a winter-focused variant built in the line’s familiar 42mm Bioceramic case. While previous Earthphase models used a blue case with white accents, this edition reverses the palette entirely, adopting a white case with blue tachymeter markings and maintaining the model’s 13.75mm thickness and 3 bar water resistance.
The dial follows the same shift toward a brighter winter theme. The faux-aventurine minute track and the blue surround on the small-seconds subdial have been removed, leaving a cleaner white dial while preserving the blue moon- and earth-phase indicators. The hands stay in the same shimmering blue used on earlier versions.
I love that Snoopy and Woodstock still occupy the dial, and for this edition Swatch has added a snow effect to their space helmets. The watch continues to use printed indices, Super-LumiNova for low-light visibility, and includes a white Velcro rubber strap with contrasting blue text.
As with other Moonshine Gold variants, the watch features a Moonshine Gold-coated moonphase disc, but the approach is different this time. Each disc receives a single laser-engraved snowflake, and Swatch indicates that every snowflake pattern will be unique, resulting in small variations across individual watches. The reference remains SO33W701L, aligning it with the broader Mission to Earthphase lineup.
Swatch is again experimenting with distribution for its full-moon editions. The “Cold Moon” model will launch on December 4, after which availability will depend on weather conditions in Switzerland. According to Swatch, the watch will only be sold on days when snowfall is occurring somewhere in Switzerland, even for stores located in other countries. Customers will be able to check Swatch.com for snowfall indications, and on qualifying days the watch will be available at all stores carrying the Bioceramic MoonSwatch collection. Swatch plans to keep this system in place through March 20, the final day of winter.
The MoonSwatch Mission to Earthphase Moonshine Gold “Cold Moon” is priced at $450, consistent with prior Moonshine Gold editions.

That is the absolute stupidest artificial scarcity gimmick I have ever heard of…
That’s not a bad way to put it 😀
Artificial snow doesn’t count.
