Let’s face it: when you think of Formula One, your first thought probably isn’t, “Gee, I hope IWC drops a new Mark XX today.” But here we are, and IWC is back in the F1 game for 2025 with yet another AMG Petronas tie-in. This time, we’re looking at a no-nonsense titanium Mark XX, a clean time-and-date piece decked out in enough Petronas green to make your Speedmaster a little jealous. Just kidding, I’ll take my Speedmaster over this any day.

If you’ve been paying attention, you know IWC has been the AMG Team’s horological hype-man for years. They’ve dropped everything from chunky chronographs to Lewis Hamilton collabs. But this new Mark XX isn’t for the drivers, it’s for the behind-the-scenes crew like designers, engineers, and mechanics. Of course, you can buy it too. IWC is glad to take your money.

At 40mm, the titanium case keeps things light while giving off that no-frills, utilitarian vibe. Sandblasted to perfection and just 10.6mm thick, it’s subtle enough to wear under your race suit—or, let’s be real, your blink-182 hoodie. The case back is stamped with AMG Petronas logos, and the whole package is good for 100 meters of water resistance. Whether you’re changing tires or just washing your hands, this thing can handle it.

The dial? Classic IWC minimalism, but with a twist. Matte black, blackened hands, and all the numerals, markers, and date digits drenched in Petronas green. It’s bold without being obnoxious, though if green isn’t your thing, you can swap out the rubber strap thanks to IWC’s EasX-CHANGE system. (Maybe grab a black strap if you want to tone it down.)

The movement is the IWC in-house caliber 32111. It has a 4Hz beat rate and a 120-hour power reserve. That’s five days of juice, which means you can probably forget to wind it until the next Grand Prix and still be good to go.

If you’re ready to flex your F1 fandom, the IWC Pilot’s Watch Mark XX Mercedes-AMG Petronas F1 Team edition will set you back $6,100 USD. That’s a bit much for me even with some of the cool features like the titanium case. But then again, I’m not really the target audience for this. I think the standard Mark XX is already cool enough.
