Most of you probably know that as soon as a new Doxa limited edition comes out, you’re going to hear something from me. It’s taken me a bit to warm up to Doxa in recent years, but after releases like the standard production Army, they have my attention. The brand so well-known for its heavy-handed dive watches has finally produced the first left-handed model, the SUB 300T Aristera. The watch will be limited to 300 pieces, in the brand’s signature “Professionals” orange, and boasting a certain sense of exclusivity that will be as visually appealing as it will be technically.
At first glance, the SUB 300T Aristera looks like the classic Doxa diver we’ve come to know and love, but with a twist—literally: the crown has migrated to the left-hand side of the 42.5mm stainless steel case, which accomplishes the neat trick of being as practical for left-handed wearers as it is cool for the rest of us. Despite this change, the dial layout remains familiar-the date window stays in its usual place, thanks to the modified Sellita SW200-1 movement. It’s the same reliable engine you’d get from Doxa with a 38-hour power reserve and a 4 Hz beat rate, just tweaked for this unique configuration.
The Aristera retains the hallmarks of the 300T series: 1,200 meters of water resistance, a helium escape valve, and that iconic unidirectional bezel-this time with an aluminum insert that harks back to the Aubry era. This bezel not only tracks elapsed time but also displays a no-deco scale, a nod to Doxa’s deep roots in SCUBA diving history.
Priced at $2,490, the SUB 300T Aristera is available for pre-order now with delivery expected in October. As one of just 300 pieces, carrying distinct lefty appeal, this model is likely to be a hit not only with Doxa collectors but also with those who appreciate a watch that’s just a bit different. And let’s be honest: it’s not just for the lefties-this watch is a conversation starter on any wrist.
