I’ve personally began to really have a strong interest in integrated bracelet watches. I mean, truthfully so has the rest of the watch world. I have seen more of a renewed interest in genta-esque, integrated bracelet designs over the past 12 – 18 months than I have in my entire career of reviewing watches. It seems like every brand has been jumping on the hype train. In that regard it seems Christopher Ward is no different. But of all the integrated bracelet timepieces that I’ve reviewed and worn, there is actually something pretty special here. I hope you enjoy my review below. Pros:
- I found this to be an excellent execution of an integrated bracelet design that’s more of a dress watch. I had no issues dressing the timepiece up when my family and I needed to attend more formal functions. Then on the flip side, it dresses down just as easily with shorts and a shirt on the weekend.
- The lightweight titanium construction contributed to my overall dynamic wearing experience.
- My experience sizing the timepiece was fantastic due to the inclusion of screw links.
- Fit and finish is incredible along with the intricate polishing and matte finishes, creating a dynamic and very reliably built timepiece.
Cons:
- While constructed very well, I struggled with the bracelet’s quick-change feature. The levers under the lug to access to mechaninsm were a difficult for me to get a good grip on.
- This particular dial color (Lagoon Blue) can present some legibility issues since so many elements are white/bright. There essentially isn’t enough contrast.
- The price of this particular model at $1895 USD is very high on the general spectrum of everyday attainable timepieces. While that price is worth it in my opinion, it is difficult to compete against more affordable offerings like the Citizen Tsuyosa and the Tissot PRX (here is our PRX review).
