Ep. #44 – Selling Watches Online
Well, we never thought it would happen – but Kaz is going through a hardcore watch purge right now. He talks about focusing his collection while also discussing the best ways to buy and sell watches on the web. Oh, and poor Mike is still hunting down the Glycine Airman No.1…
What kind of Two Broke Watch Snobs podcast episode would it be without some tangents. Today’s tangent of choice: tap water! Plus Kaz reveals a brand new and honestly quite bizarre location where you (yes, YOU) can purchase Grand Seiko directly in person – and it’s a little outrageous.
Mike tries to do his civic duty and help Kaz up his shite coffee game, informing him that dirty mulch water is no substitute for a clean, delicious cup of brew (Mike even shares how he uses his dive bezel to time his brews!).Care to share your guys’ rules when it comes to selling watches online? When you’re building a watch listing, what are the dos and donts?

Kaz has been collecting watches since 2015, but he’s been fascinated by product design, the Collector’s psychology, and brand marketing his whole life. While sharing the same strong fondness for all things horologically-affordable as Mike (his TBWS partner in crime), Kaz’s collection niche is also focused on vintage Soviet watches as well as watches that feature a unique, but well-designed quirk or visual hook.
Thanks for the cast guys. I’m just too paranoid to sell a watch to someone I cant meet in person. Guess I’ll stay a hoarder. Maybe one day. Also the watches I could sell and make my money back are the ones I’m not going to sell.
Hey, I’ll buy a watch from you. I’m super trustworthy and if your are interested I’ll pay you more, just send me the difference in cash with your watch. 😉
Yeah, not sure if I’d ever be able to sell online, I have just my one that I won’t ever sell.
